Experimental Study of Effective Thermal Conductivity of Materials Based on TPMS

In this study, the effective thermal conductivity of a material based on a porous structure of triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) is investigated. The research holds both scientific and practical significance as it proposes a method for predicting the thermal conductivity of materials with an ordered structure. Dependencies of thermal conductivity on the geometric parameters of TPMS topology are determined. The results of numerical research are confirmed by experiments with samples of various characteristic sizes and materials: Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG), Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), Polylactic Acid (PLA), and photopolymer (PHP). This work can address a range of design challenges related to achieving the required thermal conductivity.
