Research on Hybrid Energy Storage Fluctuation Suppression Based on PI Control

This paper presents a comprehensive study on the development of a wind storage microgrid system utilizing hybrid energy storage. The objective is to contribute to the energy transformation and realization of the "dual carbon" goal. By implementing an intelligent power distribution control technique, the suggested system successfully harnesses the complementing qualities of batteries and super-capacitors while maximizing the power output of the wind power system. The response characteristics of the microgrid system are analyzed under three different operating conditions: off-grid, grid-connected, and grid-connected switching. The study aims to achieve smooth wind power fluctuations and ensure reliable load supply stability, guaranteeing the reliability of grid connection. In this work, a wind storage microgrid system model based on hybrid energy storage is established by using MATLAB/Simulink. To verify the effectiveness of the suggested control strategy under various operating situations, numerous simulations are run. The outcomes show that the system can maintain the stability of load power supply, smooth variations of wind power, and ensure the reliability of grid connection.
