Non-Invasive Measurement of Blood Glucose Levels Using Linear Regression and Clark Error Grid Analysis Methods

Glucose flowing through the blood is the source of energy for body cells. Blood glucose levels indicate the sugar concentration in the blood, which needs to be strictly regulated to maintain a healthy body. Blood glucose levels can be measured non-invasively using the concept of oximetry measurement. Oximetry measurement is performed using an infrared emitting diode and a photodiode sensor, which is attached to the finger to measure the oxygen content in the blood (SpO2 value). Then, the SpO2 data was processed using the linear and log natural regression equation and analyzed using the Clarke Error Grid Analysis method to obtain the characteristics and correlation between oxygen content and glucose levels in the blood. This research shows that the predicted blood glucose level value are different from the reference blood glucose level value by more than 20%. This zone is closer to medically erroneous blood glucose values, but medical surveillance has a high probability of being accurate.
