Atmospheric Optical Channel Based on Tethered High-Altitude Unmanned Platforms

In this paper the physical principles of constructing the automatic tracking system for an optical signal source for an atmospheric communication channel based on tethered high-altitude unmanned platforms are presented. The laboratory model of this system is developed and laboratory tests are carried out. The proposed system can be used both for building an atmospheric communication channel with moving objects, and for an autonomous navigation system for a tethered high-altitude unmanned platform in motion.
