FEM Solution of Radiative Convective Non-Darcy MHD Micropolar Flow with Convective Condition

Theoretical and computational work for understanding the significance of thermal radiation along with convective surface condition for the non-Darcy magneto-micropolar flow across a vertically aligned plate is performed. With relevant transformations, the existing equations change to non-linear differential equations, and resolved computationally by implementing finite element code. The graphs plotted depict the translation of the fluid velocity, microrotation, and temperature gradients for the numerous variables considered. Further, the calculations for couple stress, skin friction and heat transfer are compiled and summarized. The FEM code exhibits excellent conformance and is validated by earlier studies. Additionally, the numerical computations performed demonstrate mesh independence. The current problem could be relevant to the processing of high temperature materials, particularly in chemical engineering production.
