Design of a Model Predictive Control for Linear Switched Reluctance Motor with Segmented Secondary

In order to reduce the thrust fluctuation during LSRMSS operation and improve the dynamic performance, a model-based predictive control method is proposed in this paper. The method uses velocity PID control for the outer loop and thrust control based on model-based prediction for the inner loop. Firstly, the thrust prediction is performed after obtaining the inductance prediction value by inductance fitting function to reduce the thrust fluctuation of LSRMSS. Then, the control method is simulated and waveforms are analyzed in this paper to verify the superiority and feasibility of the control method.
