Design of Reduced-Order Observer for Permanent Magnet Coupling Transmission Systems based on Stiffness Coefficient Adaptive Calculation

Permanent magnet coupling (PMC) is a flexible transmission device with high sealing and non-contact features. Compared to traditional elastic/rigid connection systems, PMC drive systems exhibit lower dynamic response capabilities in load torque/ speed changes due to hysteresis between the motor and load sides. Considering an increase in the economic cost of load-side sensors installation, this paper designs a reduced-order observer to obtain load-state variables and achieve feedback compensation, improving the dynamic response capability of PMC system. In addition, according to the characteristic of stiffness coefficient variation in PMC system, an adaptive calculation module is added to ensure the accuracy of observation values. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through theoretical analysis and simulation.
