Multi-Domain Optimization Design for a Bimodal Linear Ultrasonic Motor with Double Driving Feet

In this paper, an improved optimization design is conducted for a bimodal linear ultrasonic motor with respect to a set of multi-domain design parameters and constraints. Furthermore, the contact-based operating condition of the stator is considered such that the output performance parameters can be accurately evaluated enabling their use in a performance-based objective function for the multi-domain design optimization. The proposed methodology with respect to the geometry-mechanical-electrical multi-domain optimization parameters is verified by the optimization design of a bimodal linear ultrasonic motor with double driving feet.
