A Resolver-to-Digital Conversion Method Based on Third-Order Generalized Integrator

Resolver-to-digital conversion (RDC) converts analog signals output by inductosyn into digital signals at angular positions, which has a significant impact on the accuracy of angle measurement systems. At present, second-order generalized integrator (SOGI) has been used in the conversion, but this generalized integrator fluctuates greatly when the input contains DC component. In this paper, a new RDC method based on third-order generalized integrator (TOGI) is proposed to suppress the phenomenon by constructing two band-pass filters. In addition, this paper applies an improved angle tracking observer (ATO) which can reduce the steady-state error due to acceleration. The simulation results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the method, and show that this method maintains good stability in the face of various interference.
