Efficient Vision Transformer Classification of COVID-19 in Chest X-Rays

This work introduces CoViT, an efficient transformer-based algorithm designed to identify COVID-19 patients through chest X-ray radiographs. CoViT aims to outperform existing solutions by achieving a balance between efficiency and accuracy, surpassing the capabilities of most professionals. While previous AI solutions for COVID-19 detection have shown promise, many are either resource-intensive, less accurate, or focus on more expensive and less accessible diagnostic imaging. CoViT is a promising tool for the efficient diagnosis of COVID-19 using readily available chest X-ray radiographs.
