Utilizing THz Radiation for In Vivo Medical Imaging

THz radiation is rapidly becoming suitable as an in vivo biomedical imaging modality for cancer [2] and a number of other proposed applications[3] [5]. The MacPherson THz group is currently conducting a number of pilot clinical studies using a unique portable THz scanner.Characterisation of patient invariant factors, and of the THz scanner itself, have been carried out through in vivo measurements of healthy volunteers.
