Detection of Low Frequency Oscillation Transient Using Kaiser Window Modified S-transform

Low frequency oscillation transient is a common power quality disturbance phenomenon, which may lead to equipment failure and affect the safe operation of power system. This paper analyzes the common methods of power grid signal processing, and introduces the modified S-transform algorithm based on Kaiser window function, which has excellent energy concentration performance. Simulation signals generated by IEEE std 1159--2019 are used to test the algorithm, and the results show that it can effectively analyze the low frequency oscillation transient disturbance.
