Coordinated Control of AC Microgrid for Increase Load Power Using Multi-Inverter

Population growth will cause electricity consumption to increase, especially the load used in residential homes. The load that is widely used is the AC power load. With the increasing consumption of electric power, the use of non-renewable energy will decrease and even run out. Meanwhile, Indonesia is located on the equator so that solar energy is abundant as a renewable energy. The purpose of this research is to provide an uninterrupted power source at the load. The method used is to design a multi-inverter controller on the solar source side and on the battery side. The planned microgrid is connected to the utility grid. The microgrid consists of several inverters that are connected to each battery unit and an inverter that is connected to the output of the solar panel. In addition, the inverter used is a single-phase inverter that is suitable for residential networks. To adjust the output of each inverter, coordination control based on Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is used. FLC control coordination uses two inputs and one output. The input is a PV inverter and a battery inverter, while the output is the grid voltage. Each input and output has three membership functions. With the inverter output regulation strategy on the PV and battery sides, it produces stability in supplying power to the load. The FLC used also shows an output response with a short time compared to the PI controller.
