Performance Analysis for NOMA Implementation on High Altitude Platforms

For the last few years non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has become a topic of great interest to researchers. However, there are still many challenges in its implementation in the existing wireless communication technology. Imperfect channel state information (CSI) and imperfect successive interference cancellation (SIC) are issues that must be resolved so that NOMA can be implemented. On the other hand, high altitude platform (HAPs) technology offers better performance in wireless communication applications. HAPs have simpler channel conditions so that the possibility of errors can be minimized. In this paper we study the implementation of NOMA on HAPs channels. The simulation results show that implementation of the HAPs channel can improve NOMA performance.
