Smart Automated Emergency Ventilator (SAEVent): Design of a Low-Cost, Innovative And Portable Ventilator

The majority of severely ill COVID-19 patients also suffer from respiratory failure, which is characterized by pulmonary vascular injury, severe hypoxia, and varied lung parenchymal involvement. It offers characteristics equivalent to premium ventilators and would meet the needs of numerous ventilators in any scenario including a pandemic of respiratory illnesses. The high incidence of COVID-19-induced respiratory failure has revealed major shortages in the supply of mechanical ventilators and medical personnel with the necessary skills to manage it. The present exigency has sped up the search for alternative designs and allowed for a greater degree of adaptability in manufacturing, administration, and storage requirements. To achieve this, we predicted that using the medicinal gases with flow interruption approach would allow for the affordable creation of a useful, high-performance ventilator.
