Research and Design of Dual-Excitation Nine-Electrode Conductivity Sensor

In order to solve the problem of polarization effect and electrode corrosion in electrode conductivity sensor, a dual-excitation type nine-electrode conductivity sensor is optimized and designed by analyzing the equivalent measurement physical model of electrode conductivity sensor, establishing a theoretical calculation model of conductivity and output voltage, and supplemented by finite element analysis. The structure of the nine-electrode conductivity sensor was designed, and the corresponding calibration and test tests were carried out. The test results show that the nine-electrode conductivity sensor has excellent performance in eliminating polarization effect and reducing proximity effect, and the accuracy can reach ±0.001ms/cm. The measuring range is wide, and the measurement range is between 20mS/cm∼60mS/cm, which verifies the rationality of the structure. This structure can effectively improve the measurement accuracy and expand the measurement range, providing a new solution for researchers to measure the conductivity of seawater with high precision.
