Revolutionizing Critical Care: A Smart Positive Pressure Based Non-Invasive Ventilator with Real-time IoT Health Monitoring System

A microcontroller-based ventilator was developed including a health monitoring system featuring a Wi-Fi-based notifier. A pressure-controlled ventilator was included, and an AMBU bag was used for controlling the breath length and pressure. In monitoring the system, Oxygen Saturation, body temperature, and Heart Beat rate were measured using specific modules. The measured data were shown on the display, and for critical conditions, the system alerted using Wi-Fi technology. The ventilator responded according to the data and changed the pressure of the Air Breather Bag using motors. A non-invasive ventilation mask was used for ventilating the patient’s lung and a manual control mechanism was used for emergency. There was an option for attaching an oxygen cylinder/concentrator. A battery was used to power the system.
