Software-Defined Radio Network Positioning Technology Design. Field Experiment Demonstrator

In the final part of the study, devoted to software-defined radio network positioning technology design, the results of experimental testing of the SDR demonstrator in the field conditions are presented in terms of checking the operability of the procedures, implemented on the FPGA for collecting primary range differences measurements from eNB SDR testbeds and their secondary processing by the UE SDR testbed with the final estimate of UE coordinates in the Matlab environment. Field tests of the SDR demonstrator were carried out under conditions of eNB SDR testbeds synchronization, close to ideal, and in the line-of-sight conditions between the eNB and the UE SDR testbeds. An accuracy of up to one meter was achieved.
