Design and Optimization of LNG Cold Energy Utilization Scheme for Electricity Generation

As people are paying more and more attention to the earth's ecology, Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is attached importance to replace the application of heavy polluting traditional energy sources such as coal and oil. Some policies of support and encouragement have been introduced in our country for LNG fuel, and the volume of natural gas imports is increasing year by year. In this paper, taking the 6 million t/a LNG receiving station as an example, the LNG flow rate is about 685t/h. LNG cold energy is used to generate electricity through direct expansion and organic Rankine cycle (ORC), and dry ice is produced from cold energy. HYSYS software was used to simulate the system. Calculate the energy loss and energy efficiency of the three schemes, and analyze the economy of the system.
