Investigation of the Process of Pressure Transfer from the Artery to the Cuff, Taking into Account the Soft Tissues of the Shoulder Tissue

The study of blood pressure transmission processes in biological tissues is of interest for the development of modern medical equipment with an increase in the accuracy and reliability of studies. In this work, a study of mechanical models of viscoelastic transmission in biological tissues was carried out. The process of transmission of blood pressure through soft tissues to the skin can be represented as a mechanical model consisting of series-connected Voigt models. A section of the shoulder is presented showing the main structures and tissues for reproduction in an equivalent model. In the process of research, an equivalent model was developed to draw an analogy between viscoelastic properties and properties in an electrical circuit. It is possible to describe the developed electrical model from a mathematical point of view using the obtained differential equation of the 2nd order. It is concluded that the use of an electrical model for drawing analogies between mechanical and electrical properties within skeletal muscle tissue and adipose tissue is the most convenient in terms of modeling.
