Dynamic matrix control based on PID controller design for engraving machine system

To realize the precise control of engraving machine system with integral factor has important theoretical significance and industrial application value. For an engraving machine system with integral factor, there exist excessive overshoot and drastic change of control input. The mechanism analysis technique is used to understand the internal performance of the system and for guiding the controller design. Based on the established system model, the model prediction technology can be used to control of the engraving machine system. The dynamic matrix control (DMC) algorithm based on the proportional integral derivative (PID) is constructed and applied to control the engraving machine system. Moreover, the characteristics of the control algorithm are analyzed and the key guiding techniques in the process of industrial application are also given. Compared to existing control algorithms, the superiority and robustness of the proposed control algorithm are verified by numerical simulation and experimental test. The proposed control algorithm can also be extended to other industrial systems or equipment.
