Effect of Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma actuator on the Wake Region of Tandem Double Cylinders

Based on the plasma phenomenological model, the potential and net charge density are obtained by solving the Poisson equation and the charge density distribution equation, and the volume force is unidirectionally coupled to the flow field control equation to explore the effect of plasma discharge on the flow field in the wake region of tandem double cylinders at different incoming velocities. The simulation results show that when the plasma actuator is applied, the velocity and pressure in the wake region of the tandem double cylinders are well restored, and the effect becomes weaker with the increase of the incoming flow velocity.
