An Indoor Intelligent Care System Based on the Fusion of Vision and UWB Heterogeneous Sensors

The introduction of the three-child limit and the aging of the population have drawn a lot of attention. By implementing intelligent indoor care for the elderly and infants, information technology can help alleviate the social issues brought on by aging and increasing numbers of babies. This paper describes the design and implementation of an intelligent indoor care system that combines vision with heterogeneous UWB (Ultra-Wideband) sensors. Our technology can monitor the care recipients and determine human posture in real-time from the video feed by using UWB tags worn by the care recipients to track their location in real-time. As a result, the system is able to evaluate how safe the care recipient is at the moment.
