A Computational Efficient Direct Position Determination Approach of Narrow-band Emitter

Direct position determination (DPD) technique has been shown its appealing to emitter localization thanks to high estimation accuracy. Motivated by the practical applications, this paper proposed a computational efficient DPD approach using the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) formulation. Whereas, the proposed approach calculates the signal and the noise subspace using the multi-stage Wiener filter (MSWF) without employing the hardware-consuming eigen-decomposition. Hence, the proposed MSWF-DPD can be cheap equipment friendly. And we verify the performance loss is small through the simulations in the end of this paper.
