Photothermal Pulse Response Analysis of Thin Solid Films in Time-Domain Based on Electro-Thermal Analogies

An electro-thermal analogy-based model of the pulse photothermal response of thin solid films is described in this work. Photothermally induced surface temperature variations are analogous to the model of the electric current flow through an electric network consisting of passive linear elements. The presented model is used to examine influence of thicknesses and relaxation times of thin solid films on measured photothermal signals.
