Application of Multimodal Intelligent Dialogue Robot in Diabetes Health Management Service Platform

Diabetes, a chronic disease, has caused more and more burden and concern in the global health sector, because the number of patients is growing at an alarming rate. However, the current diabetes HMS (Healthcare Management System) platform has limited service capabilities, which makes it difficult to provide more comprehensive services to diabetes patients. This paper proposes a kind of MAI (multimedia artificial intelligence) dialogue robot, hoping that it can propose a new approach to the construction of HMSs for diabetes patients in China. In view of the shortcomings of the existing diabetes HMS platform, such as single function, poor scalability and strong subjectivity, this paper constructs a MAI based diabetes management service platform. Through the analysis of the requirements of HMSs, the functional requirements of the service platform are analyzed from the aspects of MAI concept, infrastructure, health management, etc., so as to involve the diabetes management platform with the participation of multimodal dialogue robots. The platform function is verified through the blood glucose detection of diabetes patients. The experimental results show that the total frequency of blood sugar of male diabetes patients has increased from 1845 to 5098 times, and that of female diabetes patients has increased from 1830 to 5090 times after the use of this dialogue robot. The frequency of fasting blood glucose in male patients with diabetes increased from 1566 to 3056, and that in female patients with diabetes increased from 1513 to 3035. This new diabetes health management platform has received positive comments from diabetes patients compared with the traditional management service platform, which shows that the new health management platform has a more favorable role for diabetes patients.
