The Efficiency of Combined Control of Flow Parameters of a Transport Conveyor Using Energy Management Methodology

The paper is devoted to the synthesis of optimal controls of flow parameters for a transport conveyor with input and output accumulating bunkers. The possibility of reducing the unit costs for material transportation, based on the use of energy management methodology, is considered. For the optimal control synthesis, an analytical PiKh-model of the transport conveyor is used, taking into account the transport delay and restrictions on the maximum allowable material density. A control quality criterion is written that characterizes the cost of material transportation between the input and output accumulating bunkers. The Lagrange function is determined for the model of the transport conveyor with restrictions on the maximum and minimum amount of material in the accumulating bunkers. An analysis of the effectiveness of using the energy management methodology in the combined control of the transport conveyor flow parameters was carried out. It is shown that for the effective use of the energy management methodology, large-capacity bunkers are required.
