Development of a modified extruded plastic cooling system for FDM printing technology

This paper examines the features and advantages of a non-standard cooling system, which consists in moving the printed volume cooling cooler from the printer extruder to the X-axis portal. Cooling system can be used in the open-type printers, such as Ender 3, to increase the rate of hardening of the extruded plastic and reduce the inertia of the extruder.
