Design of an Information System to Monitor the Graduation Process in University Students.

The objective of this article is to implement an information system to improve the graduation process at a university. During the development of the research, the importance of an information system that with particular characteristics contributes significantly in the development of processes that students graduated from higher education was determined. The product with which the results are obtained is related to the generation of a web tool, developed in Visual studio, with a database engine in SQL Server, which allows registering and entering a user and the user document with which which begins the process of monitoring the degree of the graduate. In the statistics it was recorded that, if an information system is used, then there will be a decrease in the time in the follow-up of the graduates in the titling process; additionally, it will have efficiency in the follow-up of the graduates in the titling process and then there will be control over the follow-up of the graduates in the titling process. The software has the option of being able to obtain reports for each of the activities, even if the evaluation of the graduate has not been completed, with which it is possible to measure times and stays in said process. In the present work, the hypothetical-deductive method was used, which was applied to a population of students from a National University of Peru. The design of the research used is experimental of the quasi-experimental type of Pretest and Posttest. It is concluded that the information system improves the titling process, this is developed in three phases: design and evaluation in the improvement of processes and its implementation. As a result, several indicators were obtained that improve the fulfillment of the graduated students in order to obtain the professional title, finally determining the improvement in the accuracy of the information.
