Performance analysis of AODV routing protocol and its modifications for MANET

This article includes the research of the MANET networks and the reactive AODV protocol. AODV protocol was improvement using the artificial intelligence clustering algorithms K-means and Dynamic Gaussian Mixture Model. The aim of the study was to investigate these improvements protocols in terms of performance in a MANET environment. In the analysis, it was found that the implementation of the K-means algorithm in the AODV protocol makes it possible to efficiently divide nodes into groups, which led to a reduction in the number of service packets in a network with a large number of nodes. The improvement of the AODV protocol using the GMM algorithm did not lead to an improvement in network performance.
