Study on the Removal Mode of Ultra-Precision Polishing Process of Ceramic Materials

Ceramic is an important material of the optical components of the space reflective optical system. It is the great significance of obtain the space optical components with high quality and characteristics, and to study the ultra-precision polishing process of the ceramic surface. The computer control ultra-precision polishing ultra-precision flexible airbag polishing technology is used to study the optical surface polishing characteristics of silicon carbide material. Using the Taguchi method, the main parameters of polishing angle, rotation speed, pressure and compensation depth are studied to determine the optimal process parameters of ultra-precision polishing of ceramic surface.
