Slot Loaded MIMO Antenna with High Isolation for THz Applications

In this paper, wideband MIMO antenna is discussed with high isolation for THz communications. The microstrip fed is used as a radiator which is matched to 50 ohm and accomplished on silicon dioxide substrate. The semicircular slot is etched on the ground which create discontinuity and improved in impedance matching. The slot in the ground inserted to reduce the surface wave and position of the strip is optimized which perturbs the surface current and enhance the isolation upto 34.96 dB. The Bandwidth of the slot antenna is 5.55 THz to 8.2 THz and isolation is 28 dB to 61.35 dB. The MIMO antenna is compact with high isolation and low correlation effectively represent the diversity performance of the antenna for THz applications.
