Beam Steering with Improved Peak Intensity and PSLL for OPA’s Using Novel Grouping Phase Error Technique

We demonstrate a group phase correction of a 64-channel optical phased array antenna with fitness function weighing both peak intensity and peak-to-sidelobe-level (PSLL) after beam steering. PSLL of 14.96 and12.69 dB with intensity of 0.7 and 0.64 are achieved respectively after group phase correction with PSO and new fitness function.
