Development of HFB with the Use of 2nd Order Pass-Band Filters

The article analyzes the possibility of using simple second-order analog filters for developing an analysis filter bank which is a part of the Hybrid Filter Bank (HFB) technique. In contrast to previous works, no additional elements such as phase shifters are necessary. This approach radically simplifies the analog part of the HFB system. The simplification allows for proper analysis and the design of equivalent discrete transmittances of analog filters, which is a necessary step to solve the perfect reconstruction condition and gives a perfectly sampled signal at the output of the HFB system.
