Modified Tunicate Swarm Algorithm Based Effective Energy Management For Hybrid Renewable Energy Sources

Recent developments show that renewable energies can sustainably, safely, and expandingly supply all of today’s energy needs. While there are some differences in their findings as a result of climate change, this is a severe problem. In order to overcome this problem, a hybrid source is created and incorporates a variety of diverse energy sources. In order to satisfy demand, increase system’s efficiency, and guarantee the best performance of hybrid systems powered by renewable energy, Energy Management System (EMS) have to be used. This work provides a description of the Modified Tunicate Swarm Algorithm based Modified Incremental Conductance (MTSA-MIC) for a Hybrid Renewable Energy System (HRES). The standard incremental conductance method reacts incorrectly at the initial step shift in the converter duty cycle with an increase in sunlight exposure. The typical algorithm comparison is discussed in this study, and a MIC algorithm that appropriately adjusts to increases in solar irradiation is suggested. Additionally, the suggested algorithm exhibits zero fluctuation in the solar module’s output after tracking the Maximum Power Point (MPP). The recommended MTSA-MIC based EMS evaluates the efficient performance of each HRES sub-system and guarantees network stability with regard to frequency and voltage variations. Comprehensive simulation results show that the proposed MTSAMIC achieves a total harmonic error of 0.78% and a computational time of 1.4 seconds.
