Voltage/Frequency Control Based on Adaptive Sliding Mode Control in Off-Grid Photovoltaic Systems

In this paper, photovoltaic systems with DC/DC converters and DC/AC inverters are demonstrated to be stable via the combination of backstepping and sliding mode controllers. It involves extracting the linear form of the canonical brunovsky model of the system for solving the system's nonlinearity, caused by nonminimum phase of the boost converter. After that, the voltage/frequency in AC part with an uncertain resistive load was controlled by a hybrid sliding mode controller. Furthermore, backstepping control and sliding mode control can be combined to achieve the intended control method and optimum stability. The investigation considers both linear and non-linear loads so as to create a feasible scenario. Based on detailed simulations, the suggested controller offers less steady-state error, less total harmonic distortion, and faster response to a wide range of loads. The suggested controller is simulated in the MATLAB software package as a way of demonstrating its efficiency. The outcomes demonstrate its superior dynamic efficiency and enhanced robustness.
