Renewable Energy Up-grid Gathering Station Demands Assessment Method

When the renewable energy output power is large, but the load is small, renewable energy power cannot be consumed locally. It is necessary to be sent out to the upper voltage level power grid through the gathering station. In this paper, the characteristics of regional renewable energy output power and the distribution of regional renewable projects that have not yet been put into production are analyzed. The maximum power demand of renewable energy that is sent out to the upper voltage level power grid in the region is obtained. Then, the valley-load period in the evening, the maximum power of renewable energy at noon, and the renewable energy access capacity of 110kV and below are analyzed. Based on the difference between the scale of the renewable energy construction scheme and the scale of access capacity, the demand scenario of the gathering station is proposed. Considering the security margin of the transformer load rate and the power control margin of the main renewable energy transmission channel, the construction demands of renewable energy gathering stations are obtained. Finally, a regional power grid with large-scale renewable energy is used to verify the effectiveness and adaptability of the proposed method.
