Photometric Characteristic Thermogram of Satellites on GEO

In case of no approaches to the satellite’s images, photometric data will be the essential information for Space Domain Awareness (SDA). However, limited by the single data form, the traditional photometric data cannot be fully used to recognize the satellite’s characteristics, despite many intelligent recognition algorithms developed. In this letter, we propose a new data form for the photometric data, which is shown as a two-dimensional image. This image, shown as the thermogram, is built on the observation geometry of the sun, satellite, and detector, which can reflect the specular components' orientation, amount, size, and shape. This new data form can have a great value in SDA combined with the image classification algorithms.
