Developing Interactive Game to Alleviate Stress Level of Depressed Adolescents: A Preliminary Study

Depression is the largest contributor to global disability and the major contributor to suicide. The outbreak of COVID virus further promotes the increased growth of depression worldwide and, consequently, led to a high number of suicide cases reported. This study presents a novel approach to counter depression faced by adolescence through games, in the light of motivating them and improving their self-awareness of depression. The game scenario changed according to the choices the players made in the game. The novelty of this game is the inclusion of a chatbot to interact with players and analyze the stress levels of the players.
