Design and Development of Underground Natural Gamma Measurement While Drilling System

With the continuous development of the coal mining industry, the coal mining environment is becoming worse and worse, and the gas extraction problem is faced in the mining process. The gas extraction along the coal seam is the most efficient method to solve the safety problems caused by gas in the mining process. This paper introduces a mine-used logging while drilling instrument for measuring the directional data of boreholes and the formation characteristics data of natural gamma measurement. The instrument is mainly used for real-time monitoring of drilling trajectory and formation rock related parameters. Therefore, it can not only detect the geological classification and stability in coal mine production, but also control the safety problems such as gas explosion and bottom water that may occur in the mining environment. After the downhole signal is collected by the sensor and processed by filtering and noise reduction, the measured data can be plotted and displayed on the computer
