Digital attenuator flatness compensation technology of spectrum analyzer

With the development of wireless communication technology, measurement technology is gradually developed. For the measurement of a signal can be divided into the time domain and frequency domain, time domain and frequency domain measurements can be measured to contact with Fourier transform and inverse Fourier transform, time domain measurement instrument tool is generally oscilloscopes, frequency domain measurements most used instrument is a spectrum analyzer [1]. With the applications of spectrum analyzer are more and more popular, the requirements for the various performance indicators of the spectrum analyzer are getting higher and higher. This paper focuses on the digital attenuator flatness compensation technology of high performance spectrum analyzer, flatness compensation is realized by programming in FPGA to control the numerical control attenuator. Digital attenuator flatness compensation technology plays a key role in measuring amplitude accuracy of spectrum analyzer. And digital attenuator flatness compensation technology has been successfully applied to high-performance spectrum analyzer.
