Design of Ultra-wideband Absorbing Metasurface

This paper designs an ultra-wideband absorbing metasurface composed of lossy Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) and lossless dielectric layer. We build its equivalent circuit model and get the optimized equivalent circuit parameters in ADS. After concluding the relation between equivalent circuit parameters and structural ones, we complete the parameter inversion. Finally, we conduct full-wave simulation of the multilayer structure in CST, and the results shows return loss lower than -16dB from 2 to 20 GHz, which validates the feasibility of the proposed design.
