Surface flashover and charging characteristics on various kinds of alumina under nonuniform electric field in vacuum

This paper describes the surface flashover and charging characteristics on various kinds of alumina under DC nonuniform electric field in vacuum. Also, the relationship between the surface flashover events and surface charge distributions is investigated under positive and negative DC voltage applications.
