Development of an Automated Coloring Machine

The work is devoted to the problem of automating the coloring of products in the conditions of small-scale and single-piece production. Painting technologies and equipment currently used are considered. Solution aimed at the segment of desktop equipment and small-scale production is proposed. The development and assembly of a prototype of a universal platform for a desktop-sized painting machine is underway, which allows applying paint and varnish coatings to small-sized products. The priority purpose of the developing machine is to work with printed products, processing the ends of products assembled in stacks. The methods of fixing and features of working with stacks of cards are considered. The design of the painting machine is described, the process of its development and improvement is shown. The equipment is tested under conditions simulating real work. The advantages and disadvantages of the machine design are shown, conclusions are drawn about the suitability of the proposed methods for painting the ends of products.
