CFD Simulation and Application of Interior Flow Field for Scroll Compressor

With the development of CFD technology, it plays increasingly critical role in the sphere of scroll compressor. According with an existing physical model of scroll compressor, simplified and built its quasi-static calculation model under a state during its working process. Then, by using CFD software-FLUENT, simulated it to get its flow characteristics and pressure loss. On this basic, optimized the original model to get two modified structural models and calculated and compared. The result shows that the pressure loss is greatly reduced and the leakage length of them is also increasingly decreased. This will provide a theoretical reference for further study of scroll profile.
