Research and Application of A Robot Assembly for Gate Rail Checking and Cleaning

With the changes of marine ecological environment in recent years, the attachment and twining of a large quantity of marine organisms (e.g. Entermorpha, algae, Ulva pertusa, oysters) occurs, threatening the cold source of nuclear power plants and affecting the normal operation of units. The attachment of marine organisms may degrade the tightness of water gates or block rails, resulting in function loss of water gates and their ancillary facilities and structures. The cleaning of the structures of cold sources becomes a difficulty to be solved urgently. The robot assembly for gate rail checking and cleaning is the high-efficiency and reliable support equipment, in which a hydraulic power station provides the power for gate rail brushes, a customized gate bracket drives the brushes to clean marine organisms off the gate from top to bottom, and a professional underwater camera monitors the cleaning state in real time. The robot for gate checking and cleaning can properly clean off the attached marine organisms to meet the use conditions of gate structures and ensure the first safety barrier of cold sources.
