Revolutionizing Seating Posture Using SVM Algorithm Model & Image Processing

For daily activities, the human body needs a comfortable sitting position. Due to the fact that poor sitting postures have a number of unfavorable effects. Those who use laptops for most of their computing may not always sit at the right distance from the monitor, which can lead to eye strain. In order to counteract the harmful effects caused by poor posture, this study has developed two monitoring methods. In the first method a smart ergonomic chair was developed with an IT interface and SVM algorithm model is used to classify the postures based on force sensor signals. In the second method image processing is used to determine the wrong sitting postures with a camera sensor. The test findings demonstrated that a smart ergonomic chair gives an accuracy of 94.4% with SVM algorithm model. By adopting the discussed methods people can keep up healthy sitting positions preventing the adverse effects of the wrong sitting postures.
