Effect of Angle of Incidence on Laser-Induced Periodic Surface Structures

Structural coloration, which can be controlled by the periodicity of LIPSS on metals is useful for many applications such as counterfeit labeling, and optical encryption. This paper studies the effect of the processing angle of incidence on the periodicity of LIPSS on stainless steel.
