Voltage Control of Step Voltage Regulator Based on Fuzzy Control

In distribution systems, voltage drop issues often occur due to changes in operational conditions such as equipment maintenance, alterations in operating modes, and increased loads. Traditional control methods for Step Voltage Regulators (SVRs) have limitations in terms of addressing voltage violations and achieving efficient tap adjustment. To overcome these limitations, this paper proposes a fuzzy control-based method for SVR. The proposed method utilizes a fuzzy controller to update the control parameters, thereby reducing voltage violations and tap operation time, and achieving adaptive voltage control. Simulations were conducted on a distribution model to validate the proposed method. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control method in reducing voltage violations and tap operation frequency in distribution systems, exhibiting promising performance in voltage regulation.
