Research On the Coordinated Operation and Energy Saving of Reversible Converter and Rectifier Unit

For the regenerative braking energy(RBE) in the urban rail transit, the reversible converter can effectively enhance the utilization of RBE and also can replace the rectifier units(RU). However, it is necessary to study the coordinated scheme of reversible converter and RU because of high cost of large-capacity reversible converter. This paper analyzes the comprehensive output external characteristics under different working conditions of coordinated scheme, proposed the state switching strategy in power supply calculation, and analyzes the influence of control parameters of reversible converter on energy saving. The simulation results show that the power loss of the system is reduced applying the coordinated scheme with proper parameters, thus the energy saving effect is improved. This research can provide reference for the optimal operation and energy-saving effect evaluation of coordinated scheme.
